Handmade Beginnings was originally launched in 2007 as a personal blog where I shared things I sewed and DIYed for my toddler. Over time people started asking me to teach them how to sew too!

If you’re interested in learning how to sew, it can be a great creative outlet and life skill to master. In a fast fashion and high textile waste world, it can equip you with the skills you’ll need to be more intentional with your habits, allow you to learn to mend and tailor your own garments and take time for slow and mindful practices.
